Let us guess!! You've never been to Natchez, Mississippi!? Well, you, my friend, are missing out. Nestled high above the Mississippi River on the bluff some 100 miles from the Capitol in Jackson, the history in Natchez runs as deep as the river runs wide (pun intended).
Our half-marathon course is designed to prove it to you. You'll run past landmark after landmark that gives Natchez it's historical zeal. Natchez Under the Hill, the Dunleith, the Grand Village of the Natchez Indiains, the Natchez Trace and historic downtown Natchez are just a few of the highlights you'll run past on your 13.1-mile journey.
Not up for a half-marathon? That's OK! We've got other races to suit runners of all ages and abilities. On Saturday, we will run a One-Mile Fun Run and a 5K. On Sunday, in addition to the half-marathon, we will run a 10K. If your legs are feeling strong, you can run the Trifecta (One-Mile, 5K, Half-Marathon) and get discounts on all three races.
If you're going to put in the time to train for one of our races, we're going to reward you with a race medal (every race gets a medal) and a party. We call it a fête!
It all starts the day you register for The Natchez Half. We start celebrating your training, our races and the city of Natchez.
It wraps up as you cross the finish line. Let your senses guide you as you hear the music and smell the food and drink at our post-race party ... and go crazy. You've earned it!
